About UsGenCyber Jersey Blues is a FREE, one-week, full-day summer program at Brookdale Community College providing an introduction for high school students to the fundamentals of cybersecurity. No experience in cybersecurity or computer programming is needed to apply, just interest and enthusiasm.
For each camp session, twenty qualified young men and women will be selected to participate for one week of lectures and hands-on challenges to experience an immersive and fun introduction to the field of cybersecurity. The program is generously funded by the National Science Foundation and National Security Agency and led by Brookdale Professor Michael Qaissaunee, Chair of the Engineering and Technology Department, and Mandy Galante, Director of the Information Technology Institute at Mater Dei Prep High School. We are looking for young men and women that will be attending high school in 2019 and live within a daily commuting distance to Brookdale’s Lincroft campus. Although our target population is underrepresented groups*, we welcome potential campers from all backgrounds. |
